About The Fog Den

Welcome to The Fog Den! I specialize in creating one of kind paintings on Black Velvet Fabric.

A bit about me: I live and paint in foggy San Francisco, California. I’m a tiki mug collector who loves comic books and midcentury modern design. I have degrees in fine art and videogame animation.

When I couldn’t find black velvet paintings that suited my tastes, I decided to make my own.  After lots of experimentation, I started creating velvets…and that has led to fun gallery shows, vending and teaching painting sessions in themed spaces like Last Rites SF, Trader Vic’s, Forbidden Island and Sharon Studio in Golden Gate Park.

This year I was very honored to be interviewed by Tiki Tom Tom for his upcoming book featuring West Coast Artists inside the Polynesian Pop Scene called Polynesiacs (stay tuned for that- you can purchase the first vollume now at http://www.polynesiacs.com ) and You can also find me in the The Tiki Goth Club ‘zine the Tikinomicon Vollume 2! You can purchase a copy here: https://www.tikiwithray.com/tiki-goth-club/

You can also follow me online on Instagram @FogDenSF and on Facebook at The Fog Den.

All works you see here can be purchased as both fine art or canvas wrapped prints in different sizes, shipping and framing is often available as well. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you have questions or would like a quote.
